Nation Media Group Uganda Announces Resumption of Operations

KAMPALA, Uganda – Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda has announced the resumption of its operations following a temporary disruption, with services across its television, print, radio and digital platforms set to return progressively.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the media house said the phased restoration of services would allow it to complete the necessary operational arrangements while ensuring a smooth return to normal operations.

"Nation Media Group Uganda is pleased to announce the resumption of its operations. Our services across television, print, radio and digital will be restored progressively as we complete the necessary operational arrangements," the company said.

The media organisation thanked its audiences, advertisers, business partners and stakeholders for their patience and continued support during the period of disruption.

"We appreciate the patience and understanding shown by our audiences, clients and partners during this period and appreciate your continued trust and confidence in our brands," the statement added.

NMG Uganda reaffirmed its commitment to delivering credible journalism, saying its editorial focus remains unchanged as operations resume.

"As we return to serving you, our focus remains the delivery of trusted and balanced journalism across all our platforms," said Joe Muganda, Chairman of Nation Media Group PLC.

The announcement marks the return of one of Uganda's leading media organisations, which operates across multiple platforms including television, newspapers, radio stations and digital news services. The company is part of Nation Media Group PLC, East Africa's largest independent media house with operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.

The phased restoration is expected to see audiences gradually regain access to the group's news and current affairs programming as technical and operational processes are finalised.
